Around a coffee#16 web3

How is a computer generated image made? This is the question we asked Jean-Louis Bollaro, founder of 3D Factory, a 3D creation studio in Monaco.

On the occasion of our 16th coffee meeting at The Office Center in Monaco, a dozen business leaders joined us to explore together the foundations of a future Web3.

Around a coffee on the theme of synthetic images in the web3

  • "A picture is worth a thousand words". Images have always been a powerful tool for conveying a message. In 2022, more than ever, 3D animation is exploding, especially in areas related to the future challenges of Web3.
  • Autour d'un café is a monthly workshop for reflection and exchange. We continue our meetings around the Web3 theme. The related concepts are still to be defined. For those who have never heard of it, I invite you to read one of the articles of the blog "French personalities to follow" or visit the lexicon on the NFT France website.
  • From my perspective, I use it to refer to the future uses that will be offered to consumers in a virtual space. With crypto-currency and the tools developed by blockchain, our habits and reference points are changing. The guests at Autour d'un café share their know-how.
  • Computer generated images are becoming more and more common in visuals. Moreover, we no longer know if we are seeing reality or if the image has been created by the computer.

NFTart from 2021 to today

  • Last year we discovered Beeple, Xcopy or Fewocious in public auctions in New York.
  • What can we say about it one year later?
  • How to define a good collaboration between a work imagined by an artist and the creation of a computer generated image by a 3D animation professional?

More and more exciting projects and meetings in a virtual world under construction.

I like to create a bridge towards exchanges between professionals, that's why we will meet on September 21, 2022 to tackle a new theme: the smart contract.
